Job Summary
Conduct client registration and intake by obtaining demographic information, verifying insurance eligibility, benefits, and network status, and entering data into the EHR or Adobe Pro DC. Submit prior authorizations for therapy services, follow up on eligibility or billing issues, and manage client information tracking on spreadsheets. Schedule new appointments, obtain vitals for medication management clients, and complete risk assessments and crisis triage for high-risk referrals. Address urgent phone requests, screen for suicidality, and triage patient needs using trauma-informed care techniques. Provide support with telehealth access, payment obligations, and transportation arrangements while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. Answer phone calls timely and distribute incoming requests to appropriate team members.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with an electronic health record (EHR) system with data entry experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience of medical/mental health office experience
- Working knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and Commercial health plans
- Ability to understand, convey to clients, and call insurance plans about insurance eligibility, benefits and network status
- Working knowledge of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM)
- Current Procedural Terminology (CPT-4) coding
- Proficient in the usage of computer software
- Understanding of computer file systems and computer software packages
- Valid Wisconsin Driver's License or reliable transportation to attend on-site meetings, events, and/or learning throughout the state
- Physical exam

- Background checks

- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or related field
- EPIC experience
- Experience performing clinic operational tasks such as creating and organizing workflows, monitoring clinic staff coverage, and some billing functions
