Job Summary
Answer initial EAP client calls, determine prevailing needs, and screen for safety issues like domestic violence or substance abuse. Connect clients immediately to on-call counselors for high-risk situations or emotional distress. Input demographic data into the EAP Expert database system and complete intake forms. Assign EAP staff or affiliate providers to client cases and provide referrals for legal, financial, or work-life concerns. Remain logged into telephone queues as assigned, maintaining flexibility for break times due to high call volume. Demonstrate sensitivity to confidentiality needs while utilizing strong IT skills and telephone presence.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a reliable internet connection with a minimum download speed of 50Mbps and 10Mbps upload stream
- Requisite experience with Microsoft Outlook & Office programs
- Must be flexible with break and lunch times due to staffing for our high call volume times
- Must be comfortable working in a team environment
- Must be flexible with day-to-day job assignments
- Must be capable using IT support applications
- Must be at ease employing telephone presence and skills in relating to clients
- Must have strong customer service skills
- Must exhibit excellent common sense
- Must possess good judgment
