Job Summary
Direct care Intake Specialist role supporting rehabilitation and recovery programs: educate clients and families about available services, connect clients with outside providers, perform enrollment-related administrative tasks, and provide transportation for clients between state hospitals and Rehabilitation and Recovery programs; work within a multidisciplinary team at Sheppard Pratt; position includes tuition reimbursement, comprehensive benefits, and mileage reimbursement. Requires high school diploma or GED (bachelor's degree preferred), at least 1 year of related experience, knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation and crisis intervention, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. Salary is paid at a flat rate of $21.37/hr (annualized around the mid-$40k range).
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year positively referenced related work experience
- Knowledge of best practices in psychiatric rehabilitation and crisis intervention
- Knowledge and experience in assessment, treatment planning and interventions for persons with serious mental illness including co-occurring disorders
- Basic knowledge of social security benefits and medical assistance
- A driver’s license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle
