Job Summary
Intake Specialist serves as the initial contact during patient arrival at the Precourt Healing Center, handling pre-registration and admit-registration, welcoming patients and coordinating with the Intake & Admissions Coordinator and hospital teams. Responsibilities include crisis management and de-escalation, safety checks, patient/visitor support, documentation and data management, communications with patients and staff via multiple channels, and collaboration across departments (Utilization Management, Insurance Verification, Financial Advisor). Role supports on-site teams across Edwards Campus with flexible duties in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment; evenings, weekends, and holidays availability required.
Required Qualifications
- One year of experience in behavioral health, healthcare, previous admitting, clerical, customer service, or hospitality, required.
- Experience in Behavioral Health, preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources, preferred.
- Knowledge of the Spanish language a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), required
- Must possess or obtain within 90 days computer skills to complete online learning requirements, forms, benefits enrollment, etc.
- Must have typing and computer skills; English language proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking.
