Job Summary
Intake Specialist responsible for serving as the first point of contact for clients entering services, coordinating intake processes, providing accurate information, conducting brief ASAM screenings by phone, facilitating referrals and warm hand-offs, scheduling intake appointments, and ensuring documentation accuracy. Collaborates with LPHA to relay clinical information and guide clients to appropriate levels of care. Requires strong organization, compassion, and knowledge of substance use services; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting
- Must be registered or certified with an Alcohol and Other Drug agency (AOD) and provide proof
- Bachelor's degree in human services field preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Compliance with all agency and contract requirements related to trainings, public health, certifications, and reporting
- Ability to pass all pre-employment screenings, including references, education verification, a criminal background check with at least one year clear of probation or parole, a drug and TB test
- Must have reliable transportation
