Intake Specialist II

Manage email, fax, and web portals for new referrals while answering incoming calls and coordinating with departments to complete admissions. Obtain documentation to process referrals, verify insurance coverage to determine patient out-of-pocket expenses, and ensure medications meet insurance requirements for successful authorization, dispensing, and billing. Communicate with patients regarding the referral process, expenses, and questions, and arrange nursing as needed based on patient needs and insurance constraints. Capture all relevant information in internal systems and review medical policies specific to insurance and contracting.
