Job Summary
The Intake Specialist I is responsible for assisting patients and caregivers with the application and enrollment process while ensuring timely onboarding to Care status. Daily tasks include working closely with clients to provide high-level customer service, maintaining communication with various health plans, and navigating multiple systems to verify patient eligibility. The ideal candidate will be motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and prioritize customer satisfaction. Experience in a call environment and strong computer skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume inbound and outbound call environment
- Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to comfortably resolve issues over the telephone
- Computer proficiency required; strong typing skills and ability to leverage technology to identify, research and solve customer issues
- Keen attention to detail, metrics driven, excellent time management skills
- High empathy and collaborative team player
- Flexibility and openness to changes in role and responsibilities
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a similar position is preferred
- Salesforce experience
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Bilingual in Spanish, or other languages desired
