Intake Specialist

Job Summary
Intake Specialist coordinates referrals, reviews medical records and payer guidelines to determine patient eligibility and compliance prior to service delivery, and enters referrals within established timeframes. You will work with patients, providers, referral sources, and internal teams to navigate insurance requirements, confirm eligibility, collect payments when applicable, and ensure the intake process is set up accurately and efficiently. The role involves communicating with patients and referral sources, managing documentation across multiple EMR and online systems, supporting inventory and services scheduling, participating in on-call rotations, and helping to ensure services are provided in compliance with payer requirements. Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced healthcare environment. A High School Diploma and/or Associate’s degree in a related field plus at least one year of relatable experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare systems is a plus. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams in a patient-centered care setting and adherence to company policies and procedures.
