Intake RN conducts admissions screening and initial assessment for psychiatric patients, documents symptoms and needs, collaborates with facility medical/psychiatric staff to determine appropriate admissions, and coordinates with the call center for intake duties and insurance pre-certifications. May administer medications under psychiatrist supervision, educate patients on side effects, and ensure proper documentation and DSM-V diagnoses.
