Job Summary
Interview clients facing housing instability, foster care placement, or personal crises to assess needs and capacities. Counsel individuals and families on resource mobilization, modify behavioral patterns, and monitor progress toward housing stability. Complete mandatory reporting for funding sources, maintain case files, and network with community providers. Notify supervisors of safety issues and adhere to strict funding guidelines. This full-time role at 35 hours per week requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services and three years of experience with vulnerable individuals or housing law.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field
- three years experience working with in housing
- three years experience working with vulnerable individuals
- Experience in housing
- Experience in housing law
- Knowledge of State and Federal Veteran assistance programs
- Valid N.Y.S. Drivers License
- registered and insured vehicle
- N.Y.S. Child Abuse Registry clearance
- Mobility sufficient to drive to and participate in meetings at client's homes and/or community facilities
