Job Summary
Intake Coordinator (Full-Time) leads and supervises intake operations for outpatient behavioral health programs, including mental health, day rehabilitation, ACT, and SUD services. Responsible for overseeing referrals, admissions, discharges, insurance verification, and timely processing, while ensuring accurate documentation and compliant workflows across programs. Requires active DC clinical licensure and a Master’s degree or higher in a related clinical field; prior supervisory experience and proficiency with EHRs and Microsoft Office are preferred. The role is based on-site in Washington, DC with a hybrid remote option and reports to the Clinical Director.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in counseling, social work, psychology, behavioral health, or a related clinical field required.
- Must hold and maintain an active clinical license in the District of Columbia in good standing, as required for the role.
- Experience in behavioral health intake, admissions, discharge coordination, insurance verification, medical records, or a related administrative support role required.
- Prior supervisory, lead, or coordinator experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic health records, and document management systems used in behavioral health or healthcare settings.
- Strong organizational, leadership, communication, problem-solving, confidentiality, and documentation skills in a fast-paced, multi-program environment.
