Intake Coordinator, Pharmacy & Infusion

Intake Coordinator for Pharmacy & Infusion responsible for retrieving referrals, performing insurance investigations to determine patient eligibility and financial responsibility within established timeframes, and relaying results to customers to decide on patient enrollment. Also completes patient registration in Brightree and initiates required payer authorizations, with additional intake tasks as assigned. Responsibilities include understanding payer rules, determining coverage (drug coverage options, ancillary drugs, prophylactic drugs, nursing visits, per diem/supplies, and equipment), determining authorization requirements for each therapy segment, and preparing/ submitting reports on referrals, patient start metrics, and service-level adherence. Requires high attention to detail, proficiency with HIPAA standards, strong communication skills, and the ability to streamline processes and document results.
