Job Summary
Intake Coordinator at LifeStance Health (remote within the USA) handles new patient intake by scheduling initial assessments, collecting demographic information, verifying insurance eligibility, and managing referrals and patient histories to match patients with appropriate providers. Responsibilities include handling communications (phone, email, chat), performing thorough intake assessments, obtaining and verifying insurance details, collecting and processing referrals, ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR, and supporting patient access to services (talk therapy and/or medication management) while adhering to HIPAA/PCI policies. Requires strong communication and organizational skills, a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred), 2+ years in a contact center or healthcare setting, EHR experience preferred, and English fluency (Spanish preferred). Compensation is $20/hour with full-time benefits; hours are Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm in multiple US time zones.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a contact center environment and/or healthcare environment
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, and Email
- Experience with Electronic Health Record systems (EHRs) preferred
- Fluency in English required; Spanish preferred
- Quiet, distraction-free, dedicated HIPAA compliant remote workspace with high-speed internet
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of insurance terminology and in-network benefits
- HIPAA and PCI compliance awareness
