Job Summary
Coordinate weekend intake operations for home health referrals, including verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining service authorizations, and processing non-clinical intake data. Support referral entry, tracking, and distribution while assisting with phone coverage and daily intake activities. Communicate insurance and authorization details to clinical, billing, and collections teams, prepare payer reports, and order medical supplies as needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while providing professional customer service to patients, staff, and referral sources. Work full-time weekends (Saturday/Sunday, 8 am – 5 pm) fully remote.
Required Qualifications
- Customer service or client-facing experience required
- Minimum typing speed of 35 WPM
- Basic computer skills
- strong organizational abilities
- Must be available for weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday)
- Schedule of 8 am – 5 pm
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one year of experience in home health, healthcare, hospital, or medical office setting preferred
- Basic knowledge of insurance verification and authorization processes preferred
