Job Summary
Intake Coordinator role focusing on managing intake and referral inquiries within a behavioral health setting. Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact for intake, ensuring timely and accurate documentation, scheduling face-to-face level-of-care assessments within 24 hours of initial contact, reviewing clinical information for level-of-care determinations, guiding patients through admission processes, obtaining insurance pre-certifications and collaborating with billing on payer requirements, maintaining referral data with weekly leadership reporting, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work with LMSW or PLPC, strong knowledge of behavioral health care levels of care and insurance processes, and exceptional communication and documentation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work with LMSW or PLPC required
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health levels of care, insurance authorization processes, and patient intake workflows
