Job Summary
Document and process inquiry calls according to Intake policies, assess and stabilize patients before discharge or arrange hospital admission, and obtain administrative approval for all admissions. Complete admission paperwork following hospital policy, maintain an intake log with all necessary information documented, and make follow-up calls to patients who fail to show up for appointments. Notify and assist the on-call doctor with patient interviews while providing general support to the case management program under the direction of the Director of A&R. This full-time role offers a shift differential and weekend pay, with a schedule from Friday to Sunday, 7pm to 7:30am.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a human relations field
- Licensed to practice in the State of Indiana as a mental health professional (Social Worker, Counselor, or RN with MHP)
- Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting
- A working knowledge of the latest DSM and Mental Status Exam
- working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field
- Full-time role
- Friday- Sunday 7pm-7:30am
