Job Summary
Conduct initial psychosocial assessments and diagnoses for children and adults with serious emotional disturbances, mental illness, or substance use disorders. Facilitate immediate referrals to Swope Health Behavioral Health, Substance Use Disorder, and Medical services based on identified challenges and protocol. Assess for risk of harm to self or others and take appropriate safety actions. Collaborate with providers and community resources to meet client needs while completing required documentation and performance improvement activities. Maintain productivity standards and participate in department meetings and annual trainings. Complete telehealth services where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in either Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling
- a license in the State of Missouri
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Minimum of three (3) years or professional working with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) with adults
- serious emotional disturbance (SED) with children
- Preferably, with one year in a community mental health setting
- Proficient knowledge of health and human services and community resources
- Working knowledge of the DSM- 5
- the ability to assess mental health disorders
- Applicants should be comfortable with providing telehealth services
Desired Qualifications
- Must complete annual agency trainings as required by Swope Health
- participate in ongoing trainings to meet continued education licensure requirements and department needs
- Attend ADA department and Swope Health Services required meetings
