Job Summary
Intake Clinician responsibilities include responding to referrals and coordinating intake information, providing technical support to the discharge planning process under the Director of Intake, assisting with case management tasks, documenting inquiries per policies, assessing and stabilizing patients before discharge or arranging admission, notifying and assisting the on-call doctor with patient interviews, obtaining administrative approval for admissions, completing admission paperwork, maintaining an intake log, making follow-up calls to no-show patients, and providing guest relations and training to staff. Requires a Master’s degree in a human-relations field (preferred) and IL licensure as a mental health professional or RN (preferred). Hours 11am–11pm; part-time role with shift differentials in range; Des Plaines, Illinois location; benefits include 401(k), health and life insurance, disability, PTO, holidays, and onsite cafeteria.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Licensed to practice in the State of Illinois as a mental health professional or RN preferred
- Experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting, preferred
