Intake Attorney – Personal Injury, Mass Torts & Plaintiff Litigation

Job Summary
Make retain or decline decisions on prospective cases escalated by a 60+ person global intake team based on liability, damages, coverage, and firm criteria. Personally handle high-value, legally complex, or sensitive intakes—including rideshare abuse and sex abuse claimants—using a trauma-informed approach. Own and refine intake screening criteria, qualification scripts, and escalation rules across multiple practice areas. Train non-attorney intake staff on legal issues, statutes of limitation, ethical boundaries, and unauthorized practice of law. Partner with litigation teams, mass tort leadership, and marketing to align intake criteria with active campaigns and firm strategy. This role requires a JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an active license and 2+ years of experience in personal injury, mass torts, or plaintiffs' litigation.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school with an active license in at least one U.S. state
- 2+ years of experience in personal injury, mass torts, or related plaintiffs'-side practice
- Strong command of liability/damages analysis, insurance coverage fundamentals, and statute-of-limitations issues
- Demonstrated ability to make sound, fast decisions at high volume without sacrificing quality
- Excellent interpersonal skills with empathy and professionalism when speaking with injured/traumatized prospective clients
