Int./Sr Civil/Structural Designer

Job Summary
Senior/Intermediate Civil/Structural Designer responsible for foundations and structural steel plans, layouts and details; develop drawings and construction packages with other disciplines; evaluate materials and specifications; draft structural details and dimensions using AutoCAD, CADworks, and Navisworks; review sketches for feasibility and compliance with client specs, industry standards, and regulations; analyze designs for constructability, material efficiency, and practicality; integrate vendor drawings and deliverables (MTOs, iso, 2D drawings) from 3D models; demonstrate speed, accuracy, and the ability to work under pressure; requires 8+ years Western Canadian experience and proficiency with Cadworks/Navisworks. Remote work option available in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum education: design drafting or civil/structural-related degree or diploma
- Minimum eight (8) years Western Canadian experience with Cadworks and Navisworks
- 3D modelling capability
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADworks, Navisworks
- Knowledge of pertinent codes and standards
- Ability to work long hours and meet tight timelines
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
