Job Summary
Develop and maintain applications on Guidewire InsuranceNow, configuring product definitions, rating logic, and policy lifecycle flows. Build and troubleshoot Java-based APIs and integrations while performing log analysis, debugging, and performance tuning. Support custom development, deployments, and issue resolution across environments by collaborating with business analysts for requirements gathering. Participate in code reviews and handle production support activities while managing project risks, timelines, and multiple workstreams. Requires strong backend development skills, InsuranceNow implementation experience, and the ability to work closely with distributed teams and business stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Java, JavaScript, and web technologies
- Experience with Apache Tomcat
- Hands-on knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL
- Familiarity with XML, HTML, JavaScript, and Apache Velocity
- Experience using development tools like Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, GitHub, SharePoint, and Jira
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, log analysis, and production support capabilities
- InsuranceNow implementation experience
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services and cloud infrastructure
- Understanding of Property & Casualty insurance processes and business domain
