Job Summary
Insurance Verification Specialist responsible for verifying insurance eligibility via payer portals, updating client records, collecting co-pays/deductibles, and serving as a liaison between the Finance Team, medical staff, and the lab. Responsibilities include confirming client information accuracy, obtaining required documentation, registering new clients, notifying on changes in coverage, and attending payer/process/eligibility training. Location-based duties center on Akron, OH within a full-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of experience with insurance verification strongly preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification, with an understanding of Medicaid and Medicare
