Job Summary
Insurance Specialist role focusing on follow-up of claim status via portals or calls to payers, resolving claim rejections, verifying eligibility and COB, reviewing payer correspondence, submitting corrections to processing, and monitoring payer trends. Requires health insurance billing experience, medical terminology knowledge, strong communication, confidentiality, and high attention to detail. Responsibilities include ensuring productivity and quality KPI attainment and performing related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Previous health insurance billing experience
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in policies, regulations, and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to interact effectively with others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
