Job Summary

Implement system-wide commercial property and casualty insurance programs for Sutter Health, including preparing renewal specifications, evaluating quotes, and reviewing policy language. Manage claims coordination, participate in underwriter meetings, and negotiate contract language related to indemnification. Identify risks, develop proactive risk management programs, and document findings in clear reports. Collaborate with departments, external agencies, and vendors to ensure policies are renewed timely and effectively while maintaining strict confidentiality of protected health information. Work independently and within a multidisciplinary team to analyze data, resolve conflicts, and institute effective changes.

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years recent relevant experience
  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial property & casualty insurance
  • Advanced knowledge of data analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of developing data models and reporting
  • Working knowledge of contract provisions as related to indemnification clauses and insurance contracts
  • Solid understanding of financial planning, analysis and budgeting process
  • General understanding of healthcare business processes, organization, and workflows
