Job Summary
Request and secure authorizations for home care services from health insurance companies, following up on confirmations and resolving issues with denied or pending requests. Accurately update electronic medical records with authorization details, including approval dates, service limits, and special conditions, while ensuring all information remains current. Notify clinical and administrative staff of outcomes and collaborate with providers to maintain compliance with relevant regulations and policy changes. This role requires a strong understanding of insurance procedures and proficiency in EMR systems.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years experience in insurance authorization, medical billing, or a related healthcare role
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
