Job Summary
Gather customer and applicant information via in-person, phone, or written channels to complete applications, documents, and reports. Accurately key and adjust verified customer data for review by agents or others while maintaining high data integrity across multiple systems. Monitor follow-up requirements in assigned areas and perform clerical duties including typing correspondence, establishing files, answering telephone inquiries, and taking messages. Comply with all regulations, procedures, and internal controls during the completion of forms and reports. Maintain industry knowledge through ongoing crop insurance educational training and ensure media inquiries are referred to appropriate staff. Adhere to counterparty and vendor management protocols as described in company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- two or more years of related work experience in insurance or general office functions
- Ability to input and maintain accurate data across multiple systems while ensuring data integrity and compliance
- Understanding of agriculture and insurance services
- Strong administrative and customer service skills
- Ability to build relationships and work with customers, outside parties and colleagues
- Proven ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Solid computer skills including MS Office applications
- Ability to read, write and present general business information
- Appropriate State Insurance Agent license(s) must be obtained within six months of assuming the role
- Must be able to travel for all-staff or team meetings occasionally
