Job Summary
Associate to support complex reinsurance accounting across the enterprise, including close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses. Responsibilities include treaty administration (settlements, cash movements, statement validation), maintaining standard reinsurance reports, coordinating with actuarial/finance/operations, onboarding new transactions, and supporting audits. Will work on automation/finance transformation projects and ensure compliance with GAAP/statutory accounting and SOX controls, requiring strong accounting knowledge, detail orientation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- CPA preferred
- Big Four experience preferred
- 4-8 years of related experience in accounting/insurance
- Experience with Oracle or SAP accounting systems preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong GAAP knowledge
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
