Job Summary
The Insurance Sales Agent role at A-MAX Insurance is an in-office position focused on selling insurance policies and servicing customers. Responsibilities include assisting customers with new policies, policy edits, payments, renewals, and reinstatements; inspecting vehicles to assess risk; prospecting and networking to build a client base; developing marketing strategies with the office manager to attract new customers; handling administrative tasks and coordinating with underwriting to finalize policies; supporting daily operations and housekeeping; and maintaining active licenses through required continuing education. The ideal candidate has a strong sales mindset, good organizational and interpersonal skills, customer focus, and bilingual ability (Spanish/English) preferred. Training and licensing assistance are provided, with compensation consisting of hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly, along with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
- Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required)
- Must have reliable transportation
- Basic computer knowledge
- Strong written, verbal, and people skills
- Ability to work independently and learn company software
- Completed continuing education courses to maintain active license status with TDI
