Job Summary
IN-OFFICE Insurance Sales Agent role at ALPA Insurance. Responsible for assisting customers with new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions; inspect vehicles to assess risk; seek out new clients, develop clientele through networking and marketing, and collaborate with the office manager to attract customers; perform administrative tasks and policy renewals, and coordinate with underwriting. Requires strong sales mentality, organization, interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused approach. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and may hold a Texas property & casualty license (licensed or certify-able). Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred but not required; reliable transportation and basic computer skills are necessary. Training and licensing assistance are provided, with compensation consisting of hourly pay plus uncapped commission and in-office responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
- Hold a valid and current Limited Lines or Property & Casualty License in Texas (highly preferred, but not required)
- Must have reliable transportation for daily marketing
- Basic Computer knowledge and possess strong written, verbal, and people skills
- Complete continuing education courses (Paid for by ALPA) as required to maintain active license status with TDI
