Job Summary
Represent corporate policyholders in complex insurance coverage litigation, arbitrations, and dispute resolution proceedings involving D&O, Cyber, RWI, CGL, Environmental, E&O, and Property/Business Interruption coverages. Analyze and interpret complex commercial insurance policies, endorsements, exclusions, and coverage provisions to advise clients on recovery strategy. Draft coverage analyses, pleadings, motions, briefs, and substantive legal memoranda while assisting clients in securing defense and indemnity coverage for third-party liability claims. Support all phases of litigation, including factual development, discovery, motion practice, and hearing or trial preparation. Work closely with clients, insurers, brokers, adjusters, and underlying defense counsel to advance insurance recovery objectives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in insurance recovery, insurance coverage litigation, or policyholder-side coverage counseling
- Demonstrated experience representing policyholders and experience counseling clients on insurance recovery
- Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- High degree of professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and attention to detail
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
- Admission to the applicable state bar and in good standing, or ability to obtain admission promptly
