Job Summary
Insurance Product Manager at Porch Group’s Homeowners of America unit. Responsible for profitable growth across assigned markets, steering new product and pricing initiatives from concept through state and national implementation. Serves as a cross-functional connector across underwriting, actuarial, marketing, and operations to keep products competitive, compliant, and customer-centered. Will analyze competitors, report on product performance with data-driven KPIs, and lead cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Requires bachelor’s degree (MBA or advanced degree preferred) and 10+ years in product management or related roles in insurance (minimum 5+ years in homeowners insurance). Must understand personal lines and regulatory landscapes, exhibit strong leadership and communication, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver impactful product initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in product management, actuarial, finance, or related roles within the insurance industry; minimum 5+ years in homeowners insurance required
- Proven track record of successful product launches and strategic initiatives
- Deep understanding of personal lines insurance and reinsurance, including trends, regulations, and the competitive landscape
- Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to inspire and drive cross-functional teams toward common goals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; proficiency using data to drive strategic decisions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate complex issues clearly for partners and stakeholders
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, financial acumen, and regulatory knowledge
- Demonstrated customer focus and the ability to incorporate feedback into product strategy
