Job Summary
Manage and administer the company's business insurance program by overseeing underwriting data collection, preparing global renewals, and coordinating with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders. Review contractual insurance requirements, evaluate risk exposures, and develop creative solutions for risk-related situations including alternative financing strategies. Support administration of key coverages such as professional and general liability while maintaining organized policy records. This hybrid role requires three days in the downtown Chicago office and two days remote work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the business insurance industry
- Experience in underwriting, insurance brokerage, or in-house insurance/risk management
- Strong knowledge of business insurance programs, including professional liability, general liability, and related commercial coverages
- Experience reviewing and commenting on contractual insurance requirements
- Experience managing renewals and supporting ongoing insurance program administration
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, legal counsel, brokers, and internal business stakeholders
- Ability to provide strategic, practical, and creative solutions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Hybrid work schedule with the expectation of 3 days in our downtown Chicago, IL office and 2 days working remotely from home
