Job Summary
Insurance, Legal, and Policy Specialist to support Insurance, Legal, and Policy initiatives at EverDriven. Responsibilities include maintaining a Colorado insurance producer license, reviewing client and vendor contracts for insurance and risk provisions, managing COIs and surety bonds, coordinating with brokers and carriers on policy placement and renewals, assisting with legal research and drafting commercial contracts with a focus on insurance and indemnification, supporting regulatory and policy drafting efforts, and providing administrative support to the Chief Policy and Legal Officer. Requires knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, ability to interpret insurance terms, strong written and verbal communication, detail orientation, and proficiency with MS Office (Salesforce preferred). Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years in relevant fields is required; Colorado license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in insurance, risk management, and contract compliance, preferably in transportation, logistics, or student services
- Demonstrated knowledge of commercial insurance coverages including auto liability, general liability, workers’ compensation, and professional liability
- Ability to interpret and assess contractual insurance terms and evaluate risk exposure across agreements
- Strong communication and technical writing skills with experience developing training or guidance materials
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); Salesforce experience preferred
- Active Colorado insurance license as a producer preferred- this license enables the individual to legally discuss, negotiate, and oversee insurance coverage on behalf of the company
