Job Summary
Manage a full litigation caseload covering insurance defense matters across the NYC metro area, including labor law, construction, premises liability, motor vehicle, property damage, and general liability claims. Independently handle all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trials. Serve as senior attorney at the Uniondale satellite office, providing day-to-day leadership and mentorship to two junior associates and one support staff member. Appear regularly in state and local courts throughout the region on behalf of insurance carrier clients while collaborating remotely with firm leadership in Syracuse. Required Qualifications
- seasoned insurance defense litigator
- 6–10+ years of experience
- ability to step into a partner-level role
- ability to immediately manage a full caseload
- experience with labor law matters
- experience with construction litigation
- experience with premises liability matters
- experience with motor vehicle matters
- experience with property damage matters
- experience with general liability matters
- comfort operating with high autonomy in a satellite office environment
- track record of independently handling cases from pleadings through trial
- ability to take ownership of a full litigation caseload
- ability to manage all phases of litigation independently
- ability to appear regularly in state and local courts throughout the NYC metropolitan area and surrounding regions
- ability to collaborate remotely with firm leadership in Syracuse
- ability to provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, and mentorship to two junior associates and one support staff member
