Job Summary
Independently manage an active litigation docket by drafting and arguing motions, including summary judgment and discovery motions. Conduct depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts while preparing clients, adjusters, and witnesses for testimony. Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials as needed. Evaluate claims, assess exposure, and communicate case strategy to carriers and clients. Represent insureds and insurance carriers in a broad range of civil matters throughout Texas. Join a well-established litigation firm's growing team with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license with the Texas Bar (in good standing)
- 6–10+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience
- Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure
- Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills
- Proven ability to handle a litigation caseload with minimal supervision
- Professional communication skills with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel
