Insurance Data Analyst

Job Summary
Analyze, reconcile, and interpret financial and insurance data from multiple sources to prepare working papers, schedules, and statutory reports. Process funding and loss payment requests while maintaining cash controls and intercompany settlements. Coordinate daily, monthly, and year-end financial information between operating locations and the Omaha office. Support maintenance of Financial Database systems, calculate supplemental reserves and IBNR allocations, and develop spreadsheet tools for reporting. Compile data for management, regulators, and auditors while responding to internal and external audit inquiries. Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or accounting, one year of experience, and proficiency in Excel and Access. Based in Omaha, NE with hybrid work options after training; no visa sponsorship available.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or a related field
- One or more years of work experience
- Knowledge of general accounting principles
- Personal computer proficiency and experience with basic applications such as Excel and Word
- Must be able to work in Omaha, NE
- Not eligible for employer visa sponsorship

- Preferred Knowledge: Life or property casualty insurance accounting experience
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Familiarity with company and department practices and procedures
- Knowledge of statutory accounting principles
