Job Summary
Answer incoming customer calls to service and maintain existing accounts, offering and educating clients on insurance needs while providing estimates to increase coverage. Research policy inquiries, explain coverage and billing questions, and quote additional lines of insurance. Prepare and complete applications, follow up on necessary information, and meet individual performance objectives based on productivity and customer satisfaction. Build rapport to create a positive high-level customer experience in a fast-paced structured environment. This entry-level role requires attending pre-licensing class and obtaining a property and casualty license to service products across all 50 states. AIS Insurance, a subsidiary of Mercury Casualty Company, has expanded its online sales and service capabilities nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or its equivalent
- Bachelor's degree a plus
- Active Resident Property & Casualty Insurance Producer license
- Must be eligible to obtain licensing in all states
- 1+ years customer service experience in the insurance or related industry
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday | 9AM-6PM PST / 11AM-8PM CST / 12PM-9PM EST
- Available to work overtime as needed

Desired Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of multiple insurance carriers preferred
- Knowledge of multiple state insurance regulations preferred
- Multi-tasking ability, detail oriented and exceptional organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, a team player and the ability to empathize with customers
- Solid computer and typing skills; PC literate in a Windows environment
- Ability to navigate and toggle between multiple systems, simultaneously, including computerized data entry system, other relevant quoting and insurance applications, and communication platforms
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Bilingual Spanish a plus
