Job Summary
Credentialed and recertified hospital-based providers with applicable payers while collaborating with four Southern Region hospitals, legal and regulatory affairs, and Professional Billing. Maintain a collaborative working relationship with department team members, system departments, the medical staff office, payer representatives, and medical staff. Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all data while satisfying customer needs in a service-oriented manner. Requires an associate degree or three years of related work experience in health care billing, including two years of medical billing experience. Starting pay ranges from $19.50 to $23.00 based on experience. Thompson Health encourages individuals with disabilities and veterans to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or 3 years related work experience in health care billing
- 2 years of previous medical billing experience
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills
- Proficient computer skills including Excel, Power Point, Word, and all web-based payer requirements
- Working knowledge of third-party payers
- Must ensure confidentiality and integrity of all data
- Energetic individual who demonstrates ability to work both independently as well as with multiple teams of individuals
- Individual must be detail oriented and willing to learn
- Confidentiality of all information is imperative
