Job Summary
Handle insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution, including analyzing policies, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, and appearing in state and federal court. Take and defend depositions of fact witnesses and experts while communicating directly with clients to provide strategic legal guidance. Collaborate with experienced attorneys across the firm on sophisticated cases and mentor junior legal staff as experience grows. This role requires an active Florida Bar license and two years of litigation experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar license
- 2+ years of litigation experience in insurance coverage litigation and/or complex commercial litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Experience drafting motions, pleadings, and briefs
Desired Qualifications
- Deposition and courtroom experience
- Insurance coverage or policyholder-side experience
- Construction-related insurance or risk transfer experience
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a collaborative environment
