Job Summary
Manage complex litigation in state and federal court, focusing on insurance coverage and extra contractual cases including Colorado property and casualty, professional liability, UIM/UM, and bad faith matters. Formulate and implement discovery plans, conduct depositions, evaluate insurance liability exposures, and prepare case assessments while balancing multiple matters. Maintain strong writing and research skills to produce consistent work product. Candidates must be self-starters with at least three years of experience and admitted to practice in Colorado. Submit a cover letter, resume, and writing sample by October 31, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in litigating insurance coverage and extra contractual cases
- experience with litigation involving Colorado first- and third-party property and casualty insurance coverage
- experience with litigation involving professional liability
- experience with litigation involving UIM/UM coverage
- experience with litigation involving life, health and disability matters
- experience with bad faith litigation
- engagement in complex litigation in both state and federal court
- ability to manage their own litigation
- ability to formulate and implement a discovery plan including taking and defending depositions
- ability to evaluate potential insurance liability exposures
- ability to prepare case assessments and evaluations
- ability to balance their time between several matters while producing consistently good work product
- strong academic credentials
- proven skills in writing
- proven skills in research
- proven litigation experience
- licensed and admitted to practice in Colorado
