Job Summary
Analyze and interpret insurance policies across commercial lines to advise institutional clients on coverage positions. Take ownership of coverage matters from intake through resolution, including drafting opinions, reservation of rights responses, and demand letters. Litigate coverage disputes in California state and federal courts, handling depositions, motions, and filings. Work closely with corporate and tech-company clients to develop coverage strategy and tender decisions. Manage direct client relationships with sophisticated institutional policyholders while operating independently in a 10-person boutique environment. Requires active California bar admission, 2–4 years of insurance coverage experience, and strong legal writing skills. Salary ranges from $160k to $200k with in-office work at 100 Green Street.
