Job Summary
Represent insurers in coverage matters and insurance coverage litigation; develop litigation strategy for insurance coverage disputes; conduct complex legal research and analysis, draft memoranda and position letters; analyze insurance policies and provide coverage advice; supervise and participate in mediation and settlement of underlying litigations; draft and review pleadings, briefs, and other litigation documents; participate in depositions and trials; interact with clients. Office is in NYC or Westchester with a hybrid office/remote work arrangement; requires admission to practice in NY or NJ and 3+ years of relevant experience; strong writing, research, organizational, and client-facing skills.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Bar admission to New York or New Jersey
- At least three years of experience in commercial litigation or liability insurance policies
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent academic credentials
- Ability to interact with clients and manage multiple projects
