Job Summary
Analyze insurance coverage and prepare opinions on first-party property and general liability matters. Conduct litigation work including depositions, court hearings, and drafting motions. Represent insurers in complex claims involving monitoring, mediations, arbitrations, and declaratory relief litigation across state and federal courts. Requires admission to the Louisiana Bar and strong research and writing skills. This role is hybrid-based at the Lafayette, LA office of Lewis Brisbois, a full-service AmLaw 100 firm recognized as a leader in insurance coverage and claims.
Required Qualifications
- at least two (2) to seven (7) years of experience analyzing insurance coverage and preparing coverage opinions regarding first party property and general liability matters
- litigation experience, including taking depositions, attending court hearing, and drafting and arguing motions
- Strong research and writing skills
- Admission to the Louisiana Bar
