Job Summary
Insurance Coordinator responsible for patient insurance verifications, billing, and financial coordination in a hands-on dental/oral surgery office. Develop treatment plans with financial details, ensure accurate billing for surgical procedures, collect payments and manage accounts receivable, maintain records of procedures and insurance claims, coordinate with insurance providers to resolve discrepancies, and produce financial reports for management. Requires healthcare administration experience, strong insurance/billing knowledge, proficiency with medical billing software/EHR, excellent communication skills, HIPAA compliance, and ability to operate onsite in Columbus, OH.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Insurance Coordinator or similar administrative role in a healthcare setting
- Strong understanding of health insurance processes, including claims and billing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
