Job Summary
Study insurance plans to understand limitations and guidelines, then document basic insurance information in patient files for quick reference. Calculate amounts due to facilitate effective over-the-counter collections and identify patients with financial concerns or payment problems on charts. Verify in advance of treatment that required documentation, including x-rays, charting, and narratives, is available for claim processing. Correspond with insurance companies to review treatment coverage or denials while handling all daily insurance inquiries with a helpful attitude. Assist with other areas as needed. This role supports Triangle Family Dentistry's mission to restore and enhance natural smiles using conservative, state-of-the-art procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience and knowledge of dental insurance
- Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and computer software (MS Excel, Word, Practice Management software)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with TAB32 is a plus
