Job Summary
Insurance Company Licensing Specialist will support Starr Companies’ regulatory/licensing function domestically and internationally, handling license/applications, renewals, registrations, and affiliate filings; liaising with state insurance departments and regulatory authorities; tracking payments and maintaining records; administering biographical affidavits for officers/directors; conducting regulatory research and surveys; managing multiple regulatory assignments with tight deadlines; collaborating with Reinsurance Counsel as needed; requires a college degree and 3-5 years of relevant regulatory/licensing experience, strong communication, research, analytical, and organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
Required Qualifications
- College degree
- 3-5 years of related regulatory/licensing experience within the insurance industry or legal experience preferred
- Strong oral and written presentation skills
- Strong research, writing, analytical, project management, organizational, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to follow established company workflows and guidelines
- Proficiency conducting online legal and insurance related research
