Job Summary
Senior Insurance Collateral Review Manager responsible for leading the Bank’s Member Collateral Verification (MCV) loan review program for Non-Depository members. Oversees verification of existence, quality and eligibility of pledged loan collateral, data accuracy, and member education. Manages and develops staff, reviews fieldwork outcomes, maintains the master review schedule, ensures adherence to MCV processes, and ensures compliance with policies and regulations. Applies expertise in insurance-industry loan structures, underwriting, lien perfection, and valuation to assess collateral risk, leveraging data analytics for risk monitoring. Collaborates with leadership to implement collateral education programs and supports internal controls, risk governance, and customer communications. Supports depository member MCV needs as required and participates in related risk management projects. This role is offered with a hybrid work schedule and places a strong emphasis on leadership, risk management, and technical proficiency in collateral practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience required
- 7+ years’ experience in banking and/or insurance industry-related aspects including loan underwriting, financial analysis and documentation standards, valuation methodologies, loan servicing and monitoring practices
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels within a financial institution
- Experience with complex commercial mortgage loans, participations and swaps (preferred)
- Federal Home Loan Bank experience preferred
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to communicate high-level strategies and operational performance clearly to internal stakeholders and the membership
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with SQL a plus
- Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
