Job Summary
Review insurance policy data to ensure accurate claim processing and payment, then submit corrected claims and appeals with supporting documentation as needed. Follow up on open claims to resolve underpayments and prepare materials for submission to insurance companies. Create and submit weekly status reports while maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient care confidentiality. Demonstrate strong communication skills when interacting with clients, payers, and internal teams to resolve billing issues. Maintain proficiency with claims billing software and EMR systems, including CollaborateMD, while navigating complex workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3+ years experience and knowledge of medical claims
- Self-starter with strong billing, coding, and claims follow-up skills
- Experience communicating with payers to resolve issues
- Proficient with Excel and data analysis
- Ability to navigate occasionally complex workflows
- Strong attention to detail
- Technically savvy with claims billing software and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Behavioral health / mental health service line and billing experience preferred
- Experience with CollaborateMD a plus!!!!
