Insurance Authorization Specialist

Authorization and Insurance Verification Specialist at Highbar Physical Therapy. Responsible for verifying insurances and obtaining necessary authorizations per insurance guidelines, performing quality monitoring to ensure clean claim processing, and supporting other departments (Billing and Front Office). Tasks include obtaining patient details for submission to carriers, contacting providers for referrals or information, following up on authorizations, transposing data with accuracy, scheduling patient visits as needed, and guiding Patient Care Coordinators through difficult accounts. Preference given to candidates with medical insurance/authorization knowledge, and compensation starts at $20/hour with a comprehensive benefits package.
