Job Summary
Analytical Accounts Receivable professional in Revenue Cycle Management responsible for identifying problem payer accounts, investigating corrections, resolving delinquent balances, preparing reports, posting data, and coordinating with patients, insurance carriers, and practices to obtain required documentation and ensure timely reimbursements. Will review account information, correct discrepancies, follow up on missing data, and apply payment plans as needed; supports training for new/existing staff and provides high-level customer service in a healthcare setting (dental/medical insurance). The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and strong communication, with duties including posting, data entry, reporting, and interfacing with payors/patients.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.
- Insurance and Patient AR experience.
- At least two (2) years' experience in Payment Posting.
- Understanding of dental and medical insurance.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent communication, research, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience within field preferred
- At least two (1) years’ experience in Patient Access and Insurance Verification.
